Mathias Schilling
General Partner, US

Mathias Schilling is a General Partner at BV Capital. He has been with BV Capital since its inception in 1997 and served as a board member of several portfolio companies. Mathias has been instrumental in the setup of BV Capital and focuses on US investments in the areas of media, wireless, and software, primarily operating out of the San Francisco office of BV Capital.

Prior to BV he was employed by Bertelsmann AG as a consultant where he worked with Jan on the negotiation and execution of several joint venture and M&A transactions. Previous work experience also include Bertelsmann's Book Group in New York as well as the consultancy firm Roland Berger & Partner in Paris.

He received his Master's degree in Finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.


Jasbir Singh
President and CEO, Pronto Networks

Jasbir brings more than 18 years of high tech and telecommunications expertise. He started his career as an Engineering Manager at C-DoT, in charge of SS7 and ISDN groups. As an Engineering Manager at C-DoT, he helped design and develop SS7 subsystems in India's first digital switching system, which now serves close to 40% of all capacity in that country today.

Singh was co-founder and chief technical officer of Yack Inc, and was responsible for the development of its Internet Program Guide and content management software. This core enabling technology powered Yack’s renowned syndication network.

Jasbir is the Chairman of Launchpad Software Inc and Cybermine Internet Incubator. Cybermine is a holding company supporting businesses in which he has made personal investments that focus on wireless infrastructure and applications.

Launchpad Software is a MSP and software services company, and has been in operations since 1996.


Andreas Stavropoulos
Managing Director, Draper Fisher Jurvetson

Andreas Stavropoulos is a Managing Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, where he serves on the Boards of Akimbo, AppStream, Centerpost, eWingz, everdream, H5, MeetUp, Polaris Wireless, Pronto Networks and Silver Pop. In addition, he led the firm's investments in Inphomatch, ePocrates, and Mimeo. Andreas focuses primarily on software investments (enterprise infrastructure and consumer/internet), wireless networking, and technology-enabled services.

Prior to joining DFJ, Mr. Stavropoulos was with McKinsey & Company's San Francisco office, where he worked with senior management teams of corporate clients with an emphasis on information technology. Prior to McKinsey, he was a Senior Analyst at Cornerstone Research, a financial and economic consulting firm that helps resolve complex issues arising in high-profile business litigation. Mr. Stavropoulos is a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard College in computer science.

He also holds an MS degree in computer science from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and graduated first in his class.
